MX2002 feat. Ricky Carmichael.
This video game sparked my interest and love towards FMX and thanks to this game, I do have the passion that drives me to become some sort of a “historian”, working hard on this book. I will always get goosebumps when I see the intro of this game when you could hear the first seconds of Saliva’s “Make me a Superstar” and then see Carey Harts Backflip in full glory while the riffs and drums of the song blasted through your speakers. I played this game inside out.
Always chose @trevorfromwherever145 or @hartluck as the character. Always chose @officiallbz or @smp_clothing as my jersey brand. It was not the first video game that featured real life FMX riders and brands, but it is the one I will always love the most because it takes me back to my dad’s living room on Sunday morning.
It had amazing video parts from @motoxxxofficial that you could unlock through various challenges. It had the FMX courses that were highly inspired by the IFMA and Pace FMX courses. It called the Backflip “Hart Breaker”. It had amazing soundtrack that follows me for over 20 years now.
I prefer the alternative cover with @krisrourke and Clowers on it actually, shot by the one and only @nciotti — great times. I still play it on my PS2 every now and then, and I will never get bored of it.
